How do you install a tent?Updated 5 months ago

Tent installation is a piece of cake.

Check out the video below that covers installation, crossbars, and tent selection.

The only thing our tents need in order to be mounted is a set of horizontal crossbars of sufficient strength or a platform rack with horizontal rungs. This means you could mount the tent on virtually anything- cars, vans, SUVS, boats, trailers- you name it, so long as it has a couple of crossbars or a platform with horizontal rungs. The tent hardware is universal and included, and will work with 95% of crossbar set-ups out there.

Our Condor and Meadowlark line of tents are designed to open towards the passenger side of the vehicle when they're installed.  However, these tents can easily be installed so they open towards the driver's side of the vehicle as well.  They will not function any differently if installed to open towards the driver's side.  The only difference will be visual specifically for the Condor 2 Air, and Condor 2 XL Air, and Condor 2 XXL Air tents.  These tents have a shell design that will slope rearwards when installed this way.  The Condor Overland 2 Air and Condor Overland 2 XL Air tents are symmetrical, so there will be no visual difference no matter which way they are installed.

Also, check out this Youtube video walking you through the general installation procedure. The tent shown is a Sparrow tent, but all of our tents will install in a very similar manner.
